BizEssentials is a trading name of Digivide Limited. It is not a separate company.
Digivide Limited is the data controller for personal information collected through this website. That means we decide why and how your information is used, and we are responsible for looking after it.
When you complete our enquiry form we collect your name, your email address, and whatever you choose to write in the message. If you email us directly we hold whatever the message contains.
When you visit the site, our hosting provider records technical data including your IP address, browser type and the pages you view. Our analytics tool records anonymised information about how the site is used.
We do not collect payment details through this website, and we do not ask for special category data such as health or ethnicity.
Under UK GDPR we must have a lawful basis for using your information. Ours are:
To reply to your enquiry — legitimate interests. If you contact us about our services, we have a legitimate interest in responding and in following up on that conversation.
To deliver services to clients — contract. Where you become a client, we use your information to carry out the work you have engaged us for.
To understand how the site is used — consent. Analytics cookies are only set where you have agreed to them. You can withdraw that at any time.
To keep records we are legally required to keep — legal obligation. Tax and accounting rules oblige us to retain certain records.
Enquiry emails: about six months. Our email system moves messages to an archive three months after they arrive, and deletes them three months after that. We do not keep a separate copy of your enquiry anywhere else.
Form submissions held by our form provider are deleted on their own schedule, which is shorter still.
Records we are legally obliged to keep. Where tax or accounting law requires us to retain a particular record, such as an invoice, we keep that record for as long as the law requires — usually six years. That is separate from the email correspondence described above.
If you would like your information removed sooner, just ask. See section 8.
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing. We do use a small number of suppliers who process information on our behalf:
Web3Forms — delivers our enquiry form submissions to us by email.
Microsoft — provides our email through Microsoft 365, so correspondence is stored there.
Google Analytics — measures how the website is used, where you have consented.
Cloudflare — hosts this website and manages its DNS, so it processes technical data about visits.
Each is bound by contract to use your information only as we instruct, and to keep it secure.
We will also disclose information where we are legally required to do so.
Some of the suppliers above operate internationally, so your information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where that happens it is protected by safeguards recognised under UK data protection law, such as the International Data Transfer Agreement or UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
We use a small number of cookies. Analytics cookies are only set once you have agreed to them, and you can change your mind at any time. Full detail is in our Cookie Policy.
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• have inaccurate information corrected
• ask us to delete your information
• ask us to restrict how we use it
• object to us using it on the basis of legitimate interests
• receive your information in a portable format
• withdraw consent, where consent is what we relied on
To exercise any of these, email us using the details below. We will respond within one month. There is no charge.
This website is served over an encrypted connection. Enquiries reach us through our email provider’s protected systems, and access is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top.
